Pony rides at Parc de Loisirs de la Demi-Lune Parc de Loisirs de la Demi-Lune, Lannemezan.

Set in 18 hectares of parkland with a boating lake, picnic areas and playgrounds bordered by woods, a river and canals; deer, alpaca and llamas roam in large enclosures and are very curious about visitors. On the lake are ducks, and black and white swans.

Discover le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty's Castle), la Maison des Sept Nains (the Seven Dwarves' house) and La Maison du Chat Botté (Puss in Boots' house). Take a pony ride around the lake, try a pedalo or a bateau tampon (bumper cars on water), the chateau magique (bouncy castle) or mini-golf.

Open all year round, parking 2€ (you need coins). Rides, boats and other paid for activities are open on Sundays, jours feriés and throughout the school holidays from 1.30pm - 8pm.


Le Village Gaulois, St Julien–sur–Garonne, near Toulouse.

A reconstruction of daily life 450BC - 52BC on the edge of the river Garonne. Demonstrations of Gaulois crafts; goldsmith, iron forge, bronze coin striking, weaving, basket making... Open every day in July & August 10am - 2pm. Adults 12€, children 9€
