Spend a day with Joe at PageTutor.com, learning to write basic html. Although you can use a software package to write the code for you, there are several benefits to having a basic understanding of html code. By the end of this simple, plain English, tutorial you will know enough to:

write a web page using software you already have (notepad!)

upload your page to a website

     edit automatically generated code

make subtle changes to and fix your pages

look at other websites to see how they are constructed

If you don't know what html code looks like, right-click your mouse anywhere on this page then select 'view source'. That is html and the notepad program is what you use to write a webpage or a collection of pages; a website.

Simple.
